Okay - First I did a Color Chart
Which takes hours, but I wanted to be clear on what my new colors would looks like.
Second - A Value Chart
This should be the easiest exercise for most people, but I struggle with it.
I'm very heavy handed when it comes to paint.
Third - I created a Value Study for my next still life.
After that I transfered my drawing onto two paper canvases, and started glazing the apple paintings. I'm up to 4 layers. Trying to remember a bunch of my old techniques.
So yeah, tomorrow I should have TWO paintings finished with my study.
It really is a good study. It's easy. Good shadow placement on my set up.
